Parque Tayrona

Dimanche 31

Tom nous rejoint à notre auberge et nous partons prendre le bus pour le parc Tayrona, accompagné également de Mariam, une canadienne de l'auberge. Nous passons par le marché pour compléter nos vivres et nous montons dans le bus. Il est 9h du matin et nous mourrons déjà de chaud.

En arrivant au parc, nous sommes ravies d'avoir nos cartes étudiantes (nous payons 5 fois moins cher!) ce qui n'est hélas pas le cas de Tom. Nous commençons la randonnée jusqu'au Cabo de San Juan, la dernière plage où l'on peut dormir dans le parc.

Il fait très chaud, nous sommes chargés (avec des sacs de partout contenant notre nourriture) donc ce n'est pas très agréable mais le chemin est superbe : jungle sèche avec des points de vue sur la mer, d'une couleur superbe.

Nous pique niquons sur une plage sur le chemin et nous piquons une tête, cela fait du bien ! Puis nous continuons notre route jusqu'à EL Cabo où nous arrivons vers 13h. Nous allons dormir en hamac, comme d'habitude !

Nous passons l'après midi à la plage, à lire, nager, discuter et dormir. L'endroit est vraiment très beau et à partir de 15h, beaucoup de gens partent et c'est plus tranquille. En fin d'après midi, nous jouons aux cartes puis montons en haut de la petite cabane pour voir le coucher de soleil.

C'est magnifique !

Nous dinons avec Tom et Mariam (notre super pic nic de pauvres!), et allons nous coucher assez tôt (il n'y a pas grand chose à faire une fois la nuit tombée).

Lundi 1

Nous nous réveillons à 5h du matin pour aller au bord de la plage pour voir le lever du soleil. Face à la mer, nous regardons le soleil monter doucement...

Matinée plage à nouveau puis après déjeuner nous commençons à faire demi tour avec Tom. Nous nous arrêtons dans une plage, La Piscina, et nous faisons une petite heure snorkling.

La zone d'observation est tout le long du bord, là où nous avons pied, mais il y a énormement de courant donc ce n'est pas facile de ne pas foncer dans les pierres et la visibilité n'est pas optimale.

Mais nous voyons quand même de beaux poissons : une rasquasse, un baliste, des poissons bleu marine fosforésant et d'autres !

Ensuite nous continuons la marche jusqu'à l'entrée du parc et nous reprenons le bus jusqu'à Santa Marta. Nous retournons à la Casa Familiar avec Tom et passons la soirée tranquille à l'auberge. Demain nous nous séparons de Tom, cela va faire bizarre après une semaine tous les 3 !

Sunday 31

Tom meets us up at the hostel and we leave to take the bus for the Tayrona Parc, in compagny of Mariam as well, a Canadian girl from the hostel. We pass at the market to buy a few more stuff and we take the bus. It is 9 in the morning and we are already dying of heat.

As we get to the parc, we are delighted to have our student cards (we pay 5 times less!), which is not the case of Tom unfortunately. We start the hike until the Cabo San Juan, the las beach where you can sleep in the parc. It is very hot, we carry a lot of stuff (all our bags with our food) so it is not a very nice hike but the path is beautiful: dry jungle with view points on the sea, which has an amazing blue color.

We pic nic on the beach on the way and we take a dip in the sea, it feels good !

Then we continue to El Cabo and we get there at 1 pm. We are going to sleep in hammacs, as well !

We spend the afternoon by the beach, reading, swimming, hatting and sleeping.

The place is really beautiful and from 3pm, a lot of people leave and it is calmer. At the end of afternoon, we play cards and then go up the little hut to see the sunSet. Beautiful !

We have diner with Tom and Mariam (our poor pic nic) and then go to bed quite early (there is not much to do once the night is here anyway..).

Monday 1

We wake at 5 am to go by the beach to see the sun rise. We watch the sun rise little by little for an hour and then go back to bed.

We spend the morning at the beach then we have lunch and start to go back with Tom. We stop at a beach called La Piscina and we do an hour of snorkling. The snorkling zone is very close to the beach, where we can walk but there is a lot of current and the visibility is not the best so it nos easy not to crush on the rocks but we see some very nice fish (which names I don't know in english!).

We continue the walk until the entrance of the parc and we take the bus again to Santa Marta. We go back to the Casa Familiar with Tom and spend the night there. Tomorrow we are leaving Tom, it feels weird after a week together !
